First a little history: TREV DEELEY MOTORCYCLES owns the trademark and importing rights to Harley Davidson in Canada. All Harleys must come from them.
The story: Robinson Harley-Davidson has been told their contract was not being renewed this summer. Chris O'Neil, the owner of Thunder Road Harley-Davidson and a personal friend of Trev Deeley complained that Robinson was selling too many motorcycles and also that some motorcycles that were bought at his business were being serviced out at Robinson's. I have been dealing with Robinson since I started riding street bikes in 1975. It is a family owned and run business. They go the extra mile to please their customers. You can go in there and sit around and bullshit for hours on end and not be made to feel like you should buy your stuff and get out. You never hear of complaints about their service department not doing the job right or gouging you on pricing. There are horror stories about Thunder Road either not doing the job properly or being shabby in their work. I have also heard stories on a job being quoted and when you go back to pick up your bike the price has sometimes doubled and even tripled without so much as a phone call before hand to explain. Almost everything in the store is marked up 20% or higher from the price at Robinson. You cannot buy a bone dry stock bike from Thunder Road. Each bike they get in they add 3 or 4 grand worth of extras to and then expect you to pay for it.
I cannot believe what is happening to Robinson. Please take the time to read about this at Robinson's website and send them an email of support. All emails they get are being forwarded to Harley. We have to stand up for the small Harley Dealers or we are all going to be forced into paying more at the large dealerships that don't give a damn about you, they only care about their bottom line.
Thanks in advance
