SAFETY RULES

Safety Equipment: 1: DOT Approved Full Faced Helmet

                                 2: Gloves, Neck Brace and fire resistant or leather jackets mandatory.

                                 3: Normally aspirated engines only. Superchargers, turbochargers, fuel

                                    injection and nitrous oxide not allowed.

                                 4: Full Bodies mandatory

                                  5: Rear bumpers must cover width of rear tires. Rounded end loops are

                                    mandatory.

                                 6: White coloured zip tie on plug wire mandatory.

                                 7: Header bracket and muffler is mandatory.

                                 8: Kart numbers must be a minimum of 6" high, both sides of kart and

                                 right front.

                                 9: All karts must weigh minimum of 375 pounds, kart and driver.

                                 10: Added weight must be painted white with car # clearly marked and

                                 properly secured and cleared by tech inspectors.

                                 11: Header pipe and muffler must be completely wrapped with header 

                                 wrap.

                                 12: Karts with electric starts are recommended to use 3/4" head nut and

                                 pace cart will carry starter.

                                 13: No extended bumpers outside of body front or sides. Fiberglass rub 

                                  rails on side panels are acceptable.

                                 14: Slicks only. No treaded tires.

                                 15: Wolf plates are mandatory.

                     

Sportsman and Senior Class

                                 1: Engine (stock to eye)

                                                    Maximum 6.5 motor, Honda or clone, maximum bore 2.718"

                                                   Maximum stroke 2.133" (NO 3" bore and stroked motors)

                                                    5.0hp Briggs flat head are allowed.

                                                    NO Briggs Animal motors

                                  2: Carbs (stock to eye)

                                                All carbs must be attached with no aftermarket spacers

                                                and no epoxy or sealer on exterior.

                                                NO Adjustable Jets!!

                                  3: Floor mounted fuel tank is mandatory (Stock tank must be removed).

                                      Pulsed type fuel pump allowed. Top plate safety shield mandatory.

                                  4: Metal Chain guard on clutch mandatory, and plastic guard over chain 

                                      to rear bumper is highly recommended.

                                  5: Only flat head is allowed to run alcohol with the full word alcohol

                                    on side panel next to engine. Honda and clones must run gas.

                                  6: No alterations or lightening of flywheel. Billet flywheel or Honda

                                     aluminum flywheels only..

Modifieds

                                  1: Mandatory production block and heads, no billet heads or block.

                                  2: Mandatory billet flywheel.

                                  3: Full word alcohol on side panel next to engine if so fueled.

                                  4: Letter "M" must follow number on kart in all 3 locations.

                                 5: Honda, Clones, Animals and Brigs 6.5HP  

                                    As per Kevin MacKenzie, Scott MacKenzie and Ron Mailloux Sr.

                                    there will be NO YAMAHA engines racing.
                                   The track apologizes for any confusion and inconvenience this has 

                                                     caused. This ruling is final and not debatable. 

                                    Those not liking the ruling are free to race elsewhere

 

Box Stock

NR Racing will seal your own motor for $50.00 plus parts.

Kart Works Canada will also seal you motor and will have NR Racing Box Stock engines in stock at the track and at the shop.

Youth Box Stock

1. Ages 8years(on January 1st) to 15 years. 

2. Minimum weight will be 265 pounds (weight may be adjusted later)

Adult Box Stock

1. Ages 16 and up.

2. Minimum weight will be 375 pounds. (weight may be adjusted later)

3. Three weeks grace period may be extended to new karters.

 

 

RULES

                                                    1: ABSOLUTELY NO alcoholic beverages in the pits from 6 PM

                                    to the end of all races. Drivers are responsible for crew members

                                   2: Spinner and spinee rule will be in effect at flag mans discretion.

                                    Flag mans call is final word and will not be challenged.

                                   3: Any driver causing more than 2 caution flags will be black flagged.

                                    4: No working on karts on track or infield during caution flag. Pace

                                      cart will restart electric starters. 

                                   5: If you enter pits during race you may not re-enter unless caution

                                    is on track. Pit steward has total control of any pit decisions.

                                   6: Natural aspirated engines only.

CONDUCT

                    1:Please respect all track officials wearing safety vests. All officials

                                        are volunteers trying to make safety and racing fun for all.

                                    2:REMEMBER because its not in the rules does NOT mean it's legal.

                                    Ask before making gray line modifications.
